Distinguished Service Award

The Distinguished Service Award was first awarded in 1958 to Wayne Meyers. The Distinguished Service Award is awarded annually to men who are age 41 and up and show good character, leadership abilities and a willingness to work and be very active in the community, church and or civic activities.


Outstanding Young Man Award

The Outstanding Young Man Award was first awarded in 1958 to Ted Hazelbaker. The Outstanding Young Man Award is awarded annual to men who are age 18 to 40 and show good character, leadership abilities and a willingness to work and be very active in the community, church and or civic activities.


Outstanding Woman Award

The Woman of the Year Award was originated by the Dillon Soroptimist Organization in 1973. In later years, the Dillon Jaycee Auxiliary became involved and is now in charge of the awarding of “Outstanding Woman.” Phyliss McCracken was the first to receive the Outstanding Woman award in 1973. The Outstanding Woman must be 41 years of age or older.


Outstanding Young Woman Award

In 1977, the Outstanding Young Woman Award was introduced, and Connie Delaney was the first to be presented with this award. the Outstanding Young Woman must be 40 years of age or younger.

*Awards will be presented on Friday, November 8th at the Elks Lodge*


Criteria for Distinguished Service Award Nominee

  • Exhibits a high level of professional or volunteer achievement AND leadership skills.

  • Generates significant impact on the Dillon community through her endeavors.

  • Demonstrates passionate commitment to a cause through his/her activities.

  • Illustrates the Dillon Jaycee creed “…that service to humanity is the best work of life.”

  • Previous winners are not eligible for nomination.

  • NO late entries will be accepted.

  • Submitter will be notified if his/her nominee is the winner.

  • Submitter agrees to get his/her nominee to the awards ceremony if their nominee is the winner.

  • Nomination letters must be submitted/post-marked no later than November 5th, 2024. NO late entries will be accepted or considered.

The Woman Nomination mailed to “The Dillon Jaycee Auxiliary,” PO Box 467 Dillon, MT 59725 or dropped off to Carlee Schumacher at The  Bank of Commerce or Teryn Decker at Stockman Bank
