VOLUNTEER

Dillon is a great community to live in and become involved with.  The Dillon Jaycees are sponsors of several projects throughout the year and could always use an extra hand or two

Here are some of the projects the Dillon Jaycees are involved in each year:

Little Shooters- A safety and skill based program that teaches students ages 8-14 how to shoot and properly handle a bb gun.  This program is sanctioned by teh NRA and there are opportunities each year for our students to go to State and National competitions.

Little Skiers-  A program that has been going on for well over 20 years, Little Skiers affords an opportunity for students in 1st through 8th grade to learn to ski or snow board.  Lessons, lunch and transportation for five weekends at Maverick Mountain are provided.

Punt Pass and Kick-  A one day competion for both boys and girls testing thier abilities in the art of Football.  In the past 5 years, 3 of our local competitors have made it to Seattle for regionals.

Pitch Hit and Run- A one day competition for both boys and girls testing thier skills in Baseball.  This program is teh newest to the Dillon Jaycees but has already proved to have great interest.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt The weekend before Easter is generally reserved for an early appearance of teh Easter bunny at Vigilante Park.  There are plenty of fun filled eggs as well as special treats for kids of all ages.

The Dillon Jaycees are a non-profit, community service organization. 100% of the net proceeds from this event are returned to the local and state-wide community in the form of scholarships, children's events, parks and recreation improvement projects, etc. The members of the Dillon Jaycees volunteer countless hours of hard work year round to bring this event to Dillon and Southwest Montana.
